Gabon effects cabinet reshuffle following Ping’s appointment as AU chairman

The Gabonese president Omar Bongo Ondimba on Monday evening reshuffled the government following the election of Foreign Affairs minister Jean Ping as chairperson of the African Union (AU) commission last Saturday in Addis Ababa.
Former Communication minister Mrs. Laure Olga Gondjout replaces Ping as Deputy Prime Minister, and minister for Foreign Affairs, Cooperation and Francophonie, while former Civil Service and State Modernisation minister Boniface Assele replaces Gondjout.
Former Gabonese ambassador to Great Britain, Alain Mensah Zoguelet, is in charge of Civil Service and State Modernisation
Lastly, Mrs. Honorine Dossou Naki is deputy Prime Minister, state control, Audit, anti-corruption and illicit enrichment minister.
