Zimbabwe records biggest jump in Africa in FIFA world rankings

Zimbabwe’s senior soccer team has climbed 23 places on the latest FIFA world rankings, thanks to its impressive run in the COSAFA regional challenge which the country won this month.
The Zimbabwe Warriors were ranked the 108th best team in the world for October, according to the latest FIFA rankings released Saturday.
The country was previously ranked 131 in September.
The Warriors recorded the biggest jump among African countries, followed by the Comoros which leapt 21 places to 178th in the world and Mozambique which jumped 12 places to 72nd spot.
Zimbabwe won the COSAFA Senior Men’s Challenge Cup on November 1 after beating perennial rivals Zambia 3-1 in the final held in Harare.
