Nigerian govt declares two-day holidays to mark Eid el Kabir

The Nigerian government has declared Thursday and Friday next week as public holidays to mark the Muslim festival of EId-El-Kabir.
A statement issued by the Assistant Director, Ministry of Interior,
Mr Stephen Nelson, in Abuja on Friday, said that the Nigerian government through the Minister of Interior, Dr Shettima Mustafa, wishes all Nigerians at home and abroad a happy celebration.
The statement advised all Muslims to use the period to reflect on the
humility and teachings of Prophet Mohammed and to re-dedicate themselves to the Islamic injunction of piety, love and peace.
