APA-Kinshasa (DR Congo) The Arab Bank for Economic Development in Africa (BADEA) will release $6 million for the rehabilitation of school infrastructure in the Democratic Republic of Congo, the DRC government said following its Friday meeting.

This agreement provides for the rehabilitation of 16 schools with 345 classrooms for the amount of 6 million dollars.

The announcement of this funding agreement concluded in June was made after the visit earlier this week to Kinshasa of the Director General of Bedea, Abdelaziz Khelef.

He said on Tuesday that the total aid of the Bedea for the DRC had reached 47 million dollars for the financing of operations.

Abdelaziz further appreciated the sound cooperation between the Bank and the DRC through some projects to rehabilitate school and road infrastructure.
